At the beginning of the 20th century, during the Porfirio Díaz regime, sumptuous mansions were built in the European style (Art Nouveau, Belle Époque, Art Deco, Classical, etc.). Some were demolished over time, while others, fortunately, have been restored and remodeled. Notable examples exist, one of which is Casa Lamm. The avenues and streets were also laid out in the European style, with a central median lined with trees and, at their center, classical fountains and sculptures. Today, the Roma neighborhood is vibrant, with galleries, restaurants, shops, and bars.
